Enter the VBI (Vulcan Building Inspectorate)
A Team Dedicated To Rating Plots & Awarding The Best Of Them
Every Metaverse needs the equivalent of the Vulcan Building Inspectorate, right?

! What’s that- you don’t know who the VBI are or what do they do?

VulcanVerse consists of 9916 plots of 20 x 20m land, each owned by our wonderful community of players.

What do players do with this land?

They build on it of course! Whether it be terramorphing hills, digging deep to create caves and lakes or building a modular castle or mansion- we’re proud to say we have one of the most creative player bases possible.

And Vulcan, being a generous God, wants to reward our best builders!

This is where the VBI, a small team of award winning (literally, they have the My Forge achievements to prove it) builders come in.

Rating VulcanVerse Land One Plot At A Time
So who are the VBI and how do they rate a plot? The VBI consists of Scotts, Lox, Acadian, RoguePixie, Wild_Vulcanite and fdjizm, all names regular players will recognise, people who have made a huge contribution to the community side of what we do here at Vulcan Forged, all are master builders in their own right.

There will be two winners- first, on sharing your screenshot or a video of your plot in the dedicated #shareyourbuild channel on the VulcanVerse Discord Server, with the team reviewing all submitted plots on a biweekly basis.

The VBI will use their set criteria to decide which plot is the best of those submitted at that time.

The second winner will be chosen by members of the VBI team roaming the ‘Verse!

Rewards For Winners
If your build is deemed good enough and it is chosen as the best plot following deliberation by the VBI, you will be rewarded.

The winner will receive a prize in the form of a stackable My Forge achievement to proudly display, $25 worth of $PYR (at the PYR:USD price at the time of announcement of the winner) and a place on our shiny new Builders Leaderboard

Remember, members of the Vulcan Building Inspectorate are also some of the best builders in VulcanVerse and are also eligible to take part in the competition — when they do, they will of course be excluded from any decisions and voting relating to their own build.

Cedalions
If you are a Cedalion renting a plot and you have building rights, you can also take part!

So, what are you waiting for? Get building now.

The VBI are watching you.

Kire12: Changed bolded leagues to italics, to look better with the bold headings

Berserk is Vulcan Forged's collectible card game (CCG) in the VulcanVerse ecosystem, where players can use their Berserk-specific and VulcanVerse Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Players can use these Berserk NFTs to enter higher leagues as well as use their VulcanVerse vulcanites to gain a competitive edge over free-to-play players. Berserk is available on PC through the Vulcan Forged DApp Launcher, on iOS through the Apple App Store, and on Android through the Google Play Store.

Basic Rules
The objective of the game is to reduce your opponent to 0 life points. Players take turns playing cards from their hand and attack their opponent's creatures or hero directly.

There are currently 2 types of cards in Berserk: Creature cards and Spell cards. Creature cards are played to 1 of 7 spaces on the board, and can only be played if there is room to do so. Spell cards can be played at any time during your turn.

Each player has a deck of exactly 30 cards.

Reading a Card
Each Berserk card contains 6 key pieces of information.

<insert picture of Shield of Achilles here>

# Lava Cost - top left. This tells you how much lava the card costs to play
# Rarity Gem - top right. This colored gem provides an indication of the rarity of the card (typically correlated with power and value)
# Name of the card - the middle of the card displays the name
# Attack Strength - bottom left. This tells you the base attack stat for the card (only creature cards have an attack stat)
# Health - bottom right. This tells you the base health stat for the card (only creature cards have a health stat)
# Ability Text - center. This explains what effects the card may have, either when played, or when attacking

Leagues
In Berserk, there are three leagues available to play in: Starter, Mythic, and Legendary. The league you play in is dictated by how many NFTs you own, the rarity gem associated with each NFT, and the level of the vulcanite you choose to be your hero.

Card Rarity
There are five levels of rarity for cards in Berserk: common, rare, mythic, epic, and legendary. The rarity of the cards in your deck will determine which of the three leagues you are able to play in. The higher the rarity, the higher the league you will have to play in.

Vulcanites
Vulcanites serve as the player's hero. Although vulcanites are primarily used in VulcanVerse, owning a vulcanite higher than the free level 0 companion does carry a competitive advantage in Berserk. If your vulcanite is level 1 or higher, your hero will have an ability that can be triggered once per combat. Level 0 companions do not possess this ability. Currently, here are the abilities available for each vulcanite level 1 and higher (abilities subject to change):

Putting it all together
Depending on the cards within your deck and the vulcanite you choose as your hero, you will be shown which leagues you can play in. The following are the requirements for each league (note that all neutral, or free, cards are allowed in every league):

* Starter League: common NFTs and vulcanites up to level 1.
* Mythic League: common, rare, and mythic cards, and vulcanites levels 0-3. A minimum of one NFT must be within your deck.
* Legendary League: all cards and vulcanites allowed. A minimum of five NFTs must be within your deck.

Board Layout
<insert picture of board layout with numbers>

The board is made of several distinct zones. The main board (1), your deck (2), your graveyard (3), your hand (4), your lava counter (5), your lifepoint counter (6), and the turn timer (7).

The main board has space for seven cards to be summoned at any one time.

Your deck is made of up exactly 30 cards. When you run out of cards, you will not lose the game immediately, but you will stop drawing cards.

Your graveyard shows all the cards you have played during the game. Both players can see all cards in either graveyard.

Mulligan Step
<insert picture of mulligan step>

At the beginning of each game, there is a special one-off turn. You draw your initial five cards, you may then select any number of them to return back to your deck, before shuffling and redrawing the selected cards. This is a critical step in ensuring you have a playable hand at the start of the game.

Taking a Turn
Each turn has three distinct phases: upkeep, main phase, and end of turn.

During the upkeep phase, your available lava is set to the maximum available this turn. You then draw cards, and status effects wear off if applicable.

During the main phase, you can play cards and attack with creatures, in any order you like. The main phase lasts for 60 seconds, but you can choose to end your turn early. You may attack any creature you choose, or the enemy hero directly, unless prevented from doing so by the effects of a card.

End of turn cancels any active spells if you haven't selected a target, and applies any damage over time (DoT) effects where applicable.

Lava
Lava is the fuel for your spells. You start each turn by refilling your available lava, and the amount you have access to goes up with every passing turn, allowing for bigger and bigger plays as the game progresses.

Player 1 starts on 1 Lava, and Player 2 starts on 2, to offset the advantage from going first. Lava then increases by 1 point each turn up to a maximum of 10.

Lava is not carried over from one turn to the next; anything you don’t use is wasted, and your total refills at the beginning of each turn. You cannot hold more than 10 lava at one time.

Card Draw
You draw two cards per turn, or up to a maximum hand size of six (whichever is lower).

After turn seven, card draw increases to three cards per turn, or up to maximum hand size.

At turn 12, card draw increases again to four cards per turn.

This keeps games of Berserk fast-paced and energetic as they go on. This allows for big plays, but a big risk as you burn through what's left of your limited 30 card deck.

List of Effects
Berserk has an array of abilities and spells that can impact the course of a game. Many cards will simply explain what they do within the ability text of the card. But for some cards, keywords are used to describe abilities that are otherwise too wordy, or show up on several different cards.

The following are the various different card effects:
{| class="wikitable"
|-
|-
|Poison
|Creature gains +1/+0 during your upkeep step

<insert picture of mulligan step>

|-
|Poison

Vulcanites are the primary companion creatures of VulcanVerse. These formidable beasts are NFTs that are represented in VulcanVerse as 3D companion characters with various abilities. Vulcanites have utility in other games, such as Berserk and Forge Arena. Each Vulcanite is unique and has skills that can be powered up. All Vulcanites have specific lore and belong to one of the four quadrants.

Amount, Level & Editions
At present, 20 Vulcanites have been released with yet more in development. Each Vulcanite has a level and an edition, both of which are represented on the NFT card. The level signifies the Vulcanite's skill-set limits, and their edition indicates how many NFTs have been or will be minted in total.

How to obtain a Vulcanite
Vulcanites can be purchased or traded for in the Marketplace — on occasion, they can also be won through competitions or quizzes hosted on the Vulcan Forged social media accounts, particularly Discord and Telegram. Vulcanites will also be able to be summoned in VulcanVerse by finding various items and scrolls required to bring that Vulcanite to life! Vulcanites are NFTs, so you will need to set up your My Forge account to store them. https://myforge.vulcanforged.com/

Vulcanites vary in rarity, from the 500 editions of a level 1 Hades Wolfshadow to the ultra-rare 50-edition Boreas Asterion. This rarity has made the demand for high-level low-edition Vulcanites on the marketplace soar!

Choosing a Vulcanite
There are a few things to take into consideration when choosing a Vulcanite.

Do you have land in VulcanVerse? If so then getting your first Vulcanite is key to your journey inside the world. Every account can choose their first level 0 Vulcanite from the “My Companion” tab in your My Forge account. There are 8 level 0 Vulcanites to choose from, a level 0 Vulcanite has unlimited editions and is not an NFT, but has all of the functionality of one as far as use throughout the Vulcan Forged ecosystem goes.

Functionality
VulcanVerse
In VulcanVerse, your Vulcanite will be your companion and will follow you, unless you tell them not to. In almost all situations, Vulcanites can perform the same core tasks, though the ability of each Vulcanite varies. Vulcanites have stats for each of these tasks. These tasks are as follows:

⦁ Attack (Battle) — if in battle mode, your Vulcanite can fight other players’ Vulcanites. This will earn you Lava — more if you win, but still a little if you lose.

⦁ Forage — send your Vulcanite out foraging. Distance traveled to a foraging spot can be limited depending on both the level of your Vulcanite and their individual foraging stat, as can the time it takes to forage and the likelihood of finding a rarer item. Items can include PYR pits and NFT items.

⦁ Espionage — your Vulcanite can spy on plots owned by other players with the hope of retrieving a blueprint for a new item or asset for you to use in your build. If a plot is defended by a Vulcanite, this task can be made more difficult, but again, each Vulcanite has an espionage stat that dictates how well they can spy. (This is not an active ability yet.)

⦁ Defend — other landowners will send their Vulcanites out to spy too. They could come to your plots to take blueprints for assets that you have worked to obtain. The way to stop them? Set a Vulcanite to defend your plot. Each Vulcanite can defend one single plot. (Currently, defending only prevents other lower-level Vulcanites from foraging on your plot.)

For each of the above, it’s often a benefit to check and be aware of the stats for each Vulcanite — as if you have more than one Vulcanite you’ll want to ensure you have the best Vulcanite for the job at hand. Vulcanite stats rise with level — a level 3 Vulcanite will generally have better stats than a level 1 Vulcanite, though there are some exceptions to this rule.

Use of high level Vulcanites
As you level up your avatar and land, you will be able to use any Vulcanite from the quadrant your land is based in with a level matching or lower than that of your land level with 100% of the stats available. If you use your Vulcanite inside another quadrant a minor decrease (-10%) will be applied to your Vulcanite's stats.

For example, if you have a level 5 Vulcanite from the Hades quadrant, you must first level your avatar to level 5 before you can use this Vulcanite in VulcanVerse.

However, as mentioned, you will always be able to use this Vulcanite in other Vulcan Forged games and dApps without any restrictions.

Berserk
You are able to choose a Vulcanite at the beginning of a Berserk game. This Vulcanite will wield influence over how you play.

Forge Arena
You can select an amount of owned Vulcanites to be part of your Forge Arena team.

Vulcanites are the primary creatures of the VulcanVerse. These formidable beasts accompany the player through their journey in VulcanVerse. Each of them is unique and has skills that can be powered up. All Vulcanites have specific lore and belong to one of the four quadrants.

As of now, there are 20 known Vulcanites with more in development. Each vulcanite has a level and an edition that are important to know. The Level signifies their skill set limits, and their edition indicates how many of them will be available in-world.

In VulcanVerse, your Vulcanite will be your companion and will follow you, unless you tell them not to.

How do I obtain a Vulcanite?
Vulcanites can be purchased or traded for in the Marketplace — on occasion, they can also be won through competitions or quizzes hosted on the Vulcan Forged social media accounts, such as Discord or Telegram (tip — join or follow them all!). Vulcanites will also be able to be summoned in-game by finding various items and scrolls required to bring that vulcanite to life! Vulcanites are NFTs, so you will need to set up your MyForge account to store them. https://myforge.vulcanforged.com/

Vulcanites vary in rarity, from the 500 editions of a level 1 Hades Wolfshadow to the ultra-rare 50-edition Boreas Asterion. This rarity has made the demand for high-level low-edition Vulcanites on the marketplace soar!

There are many Vulcanites — which should I choose?
There are a few things to take into consideration when choosing a vulcanite.

Do you have land in VulcanVerse? If so then getting your first Vulcanite is key to your journey inside the world. Every account can choose their first lvl 0 Vulcanite from the “my companion” tab in your MyForge account

Bear in mind that Vulcanites are also used in some of the other Vulcan Forged ecosystem games such as Forge Arena and Berserk — in these instances, any vulcanite you own will be able to be used at any time.

I have a high-level Vulcanite — can I use this straight away?
As you level up your land, you will be able to use any Vulcanite from the quadrant your land is based in with a level matching or lower than that of your land level with 100% of the stats available. If you use your vulcanite inside another quadrant a minor decrease in stats will be applied to your vulcanites stats. (-10%)

What do Vulcanites do?
In almost all situations, Vulcanites can perform the same core tasks, though the ability of each Vulcanite varies. Vulcanites have stats for each of these tasks. In VulcanVerse, Vulcanite tasks are as follows:

- Do you have land in VulcanVerse?

What do Vulcanites do?

In almost all situations, Vulcanites can perform the same core tasks, though the ability of each Vulcanite varies. Vulcanites have stats for each of these tasks. In VulcanVerse, Vulcanite tasks are as follows:

⦁ Defend — other landowners will send their Vulcanites out to spy too. They could come to your plots to take blueprints for assets that you have worked to obtain. The way to stop them? Set a Vulcanite to defend your plot. Each Vulcanite can defend one single plot.
