Tartarus is a third-person combat game, set in the realm of Hades called Tartarus. It combines elements of third-person shooters (long range weapons such as archery) with an up close hack and slash using melee weapons.

Setting

The player finds themselves in Hades and must make their way through the realm using weapons to destroy the oncoming demons. Points are scored as the player progresses. The game ends when the player dies.

Stats

HP

Also known as Health Points, or Hit Points, HP indicates the health of our player. When it falls below 0, the player dies.

Starting HP: 100

Stamina

This stat indicates the cost of basic actions that the player can do. All of them cost stamina.

Starting Stamina: 70

Heroism

Heroism is required to cast Martial Skills. It’s acquired every time an enemy is killed. Each kill gives 1 heroism point and a total of 10 is needed. It has 1 charge.

Defense

Defense is a stat that mitigates a portion of the received damage. The formula goes as follows: Post Mitigation Damage = Initial Damage / (1 + (Defense / 100))

This means that with 300 Defense, damage reduced = 75% of initial.

Weapons

At present, the primary weapon is the sword. Aside from this, there is a bow and spear. The player also has a shield.

Interactables are scattered around the map. Interacting with objects of the world does not cost stamina, it usually costs Demon Essence.
