Tokenomics

The Vulcan Forged ecosystem has a system of tokenomics that involves the use of primary ($PYR) and secondary ($LAVA) tokens and XP.

The Elysium blockchain also has it's own precious metal backed stablecoin ($GSP).

This section outlines the main tokens, how you can get them and provides some examples of their use.

$PYR

$PYR is the primary token that powers the entire Vulcan Forged ecosystem. $PYR can be used as a settlement, staking and gaming utility token.

$PYR can be purchased directly on Vulcan Forged with fiat currency or traded on a number of exchanges.

Uses for $PYR include:

• Purchasing of NFTs in the Agora marketplace
• Soft locking to stake land
• Fees when sowing seeds or land
• Purchasing a plan as part of the Cedalion program
• Renting land or other NFTs as part of the Cedalion program
• Farming, staking and trading on VulcanDex

$LAVA

$LAVA is the secondary token; $LAVA is the silver to the gold of $PYR. It’s our play-to-earn token and, as such, it is plentiful. You’ll earn Cold $LAVA from playing some of our games ($LAVA addition coming to an increasing number of games soon). This will warm up and will be ready to claim as Hot $LAVA (the on-chain cryptocurrency) after 3 days.

When you play VulcanVerse, you will be consistently earning $LAVA. This is based on the XP (experience points) you make in game. Your $LAVA rewards will be calculated on an hourly basis. This will be based on the XP percentage earned for each player during that time. Other Vulcan Forged Games have different LAVA earning systems currently based on set XP/LAVA ratios.

Once you’ve earned $LAVA, here’s a list of what you can or will soon be able to do with it:

• Upgrade Land
• Purchase consumables in-game
• Upgrade Vulcanite stats
• Activate NFT seeds
• Unlock game features in different Vulcan Forged games
• Staking in the VulcanDex, our decentralised exchange
• Purchase in-game assets
• Upgrade Gods
• Foraging rewards unlocks
• Enter Tournaments
• Stake Cold $LAVA in the Vulcan City $LAVA Bank
• Summon higher level Vulcanites for a short period
• Guild economy inc. registration, HQ, customisation etc with $LAVA rental fee
• Customisation options from a VulcanVerse shop
• Crafting economy — workshops, the Blacksmith etc
• VulcanVerse city wall adjacent plot assets
• Courier NPCs to send letters & notes to other users
• Road quick travel transport
• Corner / gate plot portals to Vulcan City

Fees:

• Seed activation fees
• Land upgrade fees
• Upgrading Vulcanites
• Upgrading and maintaining Titans and Olympians (Gods)
• Elysium transactions

Burn:

(Every single lava expenditure route is a 100% burn)

• All seed activation costs
• Fees for upgrading Vulcanites
• All God upgrade and maintenance fees
• All land upgrade fees
• Purchasing consumables in-game via NPCs

XP

XP or ‘experience points’ are earned throughout the Vulcan Forged ecosystem. Your earned XP is a metric displaying what you have put in- time and effort. XP holds no monetary value, is held off-chain, and cannot be traded.

Earning XP

You earn XP by carrying out simple tasks such as the following examples:

• Foraging, Battling, Spying, or Defending with your Vulcanites
• Visiting Landmarks in VulcanVerse
• Trading materials in VulcanVerse
• Completing Quests
• Winning or losing in any of Vulcan Forged games

You can earn XP from the majority of our games at present from beta builds onwards. Your XP is viewable under the Earnings tab of your My Forge account.

How you can use your XP

These are some examples of how you can use your XP:

• Level up your Avatar
• Level up your Vulcanite’s Stats (now including Level 0 Vulcanites)
• Participate in events (dependent on the account level)
• Gamble in Vulcan Poker
• Upgrade items / appearance
• Unlock features in Berserk
• A constant flow of XP is necessary to be able to Stake Land (inactive game accounts do not receive staking rewards).

$GSP

$GSP is Vulcan Forged's gold, silver and platinum backed stablecoin on the Elysium blockchain.

$GSP is backed by real and scarce metals:

• Gold – 80%
• Silver – 15%
• Platinum – 5%

ElysiumSwap will offer trading pairs for Gold, Platinum, and Silver.

$GSP will be validated and protected by the Chainlink Proof-of-Reserve protocol.
