An NFT is a Non-fungible token, a cryptographic blockchain asset with a unique identification code and metadata that distinguishes it from another. Vulcan Forged's NFTs are assigned unique dApp IDs for means of identification. Vulcan Forged NFTs can either have in game functionality, or simply represent a piece of artwork or a token.

History of Vulcan Forged NFTs

The first Vulcan Forged NFTs were those developed through VeriArti, an engine that allowed users to mint a piece of art to blockchain as an NFT. VeriArti NFTs were assigned dApp ID 1. Next came Block Babies, a toddler battling CCG with NFTs assigned dApp ID 2. Vulcanites came next as dApp ID 3. At present, Vulcan Forged NFTs are minted on VeChain (VET) but they will shortly be transferred to Elysium, Vulcan Forged's blockchain for metaverses. The present list of NFT IDs is as follows:

Metadata

Each NFT type contains metadata, data that defines the NFT's essential properties. The creator of each NFT type (as defined by dApp ID), will set the metadata. This may include name, description, link to an image, edition number and so on.

NFTs on Elysium

All existing Vulcan Forged NFTs, some 80,000+, will soon be migrated to Elysium. New dApp IDs will be provided. A new NFT protocol has been designed for Elysium, the ELS-M1. This will be used with MetaScapes, Vulcan Forged's Metaverse as a Service (MaaS) system.
