A Cedalion is a person who does not own VulcanVerse land, but instead accesses VulcanVerse by renting land through their My Forge account.

Etymology

In Greek mythology, Cedalion or Kedalion (Classical Greek Κηδαλίων) was a servant of Hephaestus (Vulcan is the Roman name for the god, Hephaestus) in Lemnos. For this reason, the name Cedalion was chosen to represent non-land owning players accessing VulcanVerse.

How To Become A Cedalion

As with all Vulcan Forged ecosystem interaction, a Cedalion must first have registered for a My Forge account.

What Can A Cedalion Access

A Cedalion, as a user and owner of a My Forge account, has access to all My Forge features just as any other user does. By renting NFT land, a Cedalion is able to access VulcanVerse. By renting an NFT Vulcanite, a Cedalion is able to use this for a predetermined amount of time to play VulcanVerse, Berserk, Forge Arena and any other Vulcan Studios game that allows for the use of NFT Vulcanites (note: by default a new user has access to a level 0 non-NFT companion Vulcanite which they can set in My Forge).

Land

A Cedalion renting an NFT VulcanVerse land plot will have certain permissions over that land, depending on conditions the land owning player set prior to listing on the marketplace. These conditions are as follows:

Length of rent - a set amount of time that the Cedalion is renting the land for. Cost of rent - this is either a cost in $PYR, a share of the $LAVA earned by the Cedalion or both. Building rights - the land owner is able to choose whether the Cedalion renting the land can build on the plot - or not.

Due to these conditions, it benefits a Cedalion to shop around to find the best deal for them, in the quadrant they prefer.
